Gay conservatives are an interesting bunch. They adhere to a political and religious ideology that is completely at odds with who they are. One of these strange creatures, Breitbart columnist Mini Yiannopoulos met his match when he got into a war of words with comedian Joe Rogan.
Yiannopoulos was a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience recently, where the two shared a mostly friendly discussion before Yiannopoulos brought up his Christian beliefs:
“Everywhere that doesn’t have a strong Christian heritage is a f*cked up place with bad morals.”
Rogan challenged his claim:
“That’s a ridiculous statement. That’s a ridiculous statement. Everywhere that doesn’t have Judeo-Christian values is a f*cked up place?”
Of course, Yiannopoulos continued to bleat the assumption that societies such as America and Europe where much of the population practices Christianity are “better” than anywhere else. After a bit more back and forth, Rogan really hit a nerve when he brought up the fact that Yiannopoulos is gay:
“You yourself, your lifestyle, is proof positive of the evolution of what this used to be and what it is today.”
Yiannopoulos said:
“Well, evolutionarily-speaking, I’m an outlier because, as you know, gay people generally test higher for IQ than the rest of the population and lots of evolutionary biologists suggest that people with high IQs tend to engage in dissident or unusual habits and practices in general because that is where mother nature does her experimentation… I’m not typical of the bulk of the species.”
Rogan pressed further:
“Right, but what you are, who you are, being a gay man that is promiscuous, that is prohibited in the Bible.”
And that’s when Yiannopoulos suggested that he’s not happy with who he is:
“Yes, but I would agree it would be better if I didn’t behave like this,” later adding, “If I could choose, I wouldn’t be a homosexual.”
Rogan finally said:
“You are gay as f*ck… Dude, you are gay as f*ck, ok? There is not a godd*mn choice in the world for you other than being gay. You are the perfect example of this sh*t being nonsense, that it’s a choice.”
