VIDEO: New undercover footage reveals pro-life ‘crisis pregnancy center’ lying about birth control

More audio from undercover footage of pro-life-operated “crisis pregnancy centers” has been released, showing that the clinics are continuing to spread gross disinformation to women about birth control.

In a counseling session secretly recorded by an activist from NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia, a crisis center staff member is once again heard making false statements and passing them off as legitimate medical advice.

In the recording, the staff member can be heard making numerous dubious claims:

  • Condoms are “naturally porous” and do not protect against STDs.
  • Women who have taken birth control up to four years prior to their first pregnancy have a 46% increased risk of breast cancer.
  • Having an abortion will have a long-lasting negative effect on future relationships.
  • An abortion will come back to haunt you in the afterlife, because “at the end of the world, you’re gonna know that was my child that I chose to kill.”

The full audio can be heard here.

DeadState first wrote about crisis pregnancy center misinformation tactics back in June, where 24 year-old Katie Stack was fed misleading information about the morning-after pill in an undercover video filmed at an Ohio crisis center.

Stack later wrote about her experience in a New York Times editorial:

I was cautioned that abortions caused breast cancer, even though the National Cancer Institute has found serious flaws in all research that suggests so. I was warned that I would inevitably suffer from post-abortion stress syndrome, even though the American Psychological Association says there is no evidence of increased mental health problems among women who have an abortion in the first trimester. I was told that I would not hear this information from doctors, because doctors make money performing abortions and would lie about the procedure’s risks.
