A Tennessee medical clinic announced this week that it will refuse to administer vaccines because they “can cause autism.”
Cool Springs Family Medicine in Franklin, Tennessee claims they embrace “integrative” and “alternative” forms of medicine.
“I’ve had 15 years’ experience in taking care of ASD kids, that’s a lot of vaccine injury stories from moms,” Dr. Daniel Kalb, who is the head physician at Cool Springs, said. “Don’t tell me that they are making it up or they are just reaching for an explanation, or that it was a coincidence or that they are just too stressed, or that they are uninformed. All of those arguments are stupid.
The entire 64,000 members of the American Academy of Pediatrics said that “claims that vaccines are linked to autism, or are unsafe when administered according to the recommended schedule, have been disproven by a robust body of medical literature. It is dangerous to public health to suggest otherwise.”
Despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, Dr. Kalb continues to use information of long-discredited pediatric researcher Andrew Wakefield.
“Dr. Andew [sic] Wakefield’s research was properly defended and vindicated 4 years ago. The Lancet paper stands: There is a link between the MMR vaccine and Autism,” Kalb said.
According to Patheos, the clinic treats pediatric ailments with “a variety of herbal remedies, homeopathic remedies, and essential oils.” But for those parents who aren’t satisfied with that level of hogwash, now they don’t have to get vaccinations either.
