‘Vehemently anti-gay’ pastor charged with 70 counts of possessing child porn

Dave Reynolds was once the pastor of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship in Arkansas, but now he’s facing 70 counts of acquiring and distributing sexually explicit material related to children. His bond has been set at $250,000.

Reynolds also made a name for himself as a vehemently anti-LGBT crusader.

According to various reports, Reynolds, who is 40-years-old, regularly preached that gay marriage was an abomination and that the LGBT community is destined for hell. He was arrested in early May of this year after police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, pointing to a social media account in Sherwood that was “storing pages” of sexually explicit material featuring children – an account allegedly belonging to Reynolds.

In March, Reynolds informed his church that he was under investigation.

From LGBTQ Nation:

When they asked if he had engaged in viewing the material, Reynolds told them he had “not knowingly done so.”

In a statement to the public, staff from Reynold’s former church said they are fully cooperating with police.

“Our present concern is with the people of Cornerstone to whom the Lord has entrusted us as shepherds. We have been and will continue to pursue all avenues to determine whether any of Cornerstone’s people may have been directly or indirectly affected by any actions Dave may have taken,” the statement read.

“Mr. Reynolds has pleaded not guilty and intends to vigorously defend himself against the accusations,” Reynold’s attorney said in a separate statement.
