WATCH: Store clerk shows incredible restraint while turning the tables on armed would-be thief

Video surveillance obtained from this Saturday shows a would-be thief entering the Marionville Mo. store where Jon Lewis Alexander works, hesitating for a moment, and then pulling a gun on the 54 year-old store clerk and Iraq veteran.

But as the video shows, the thief wasn’t fast enough because Alexander was able to draw first and calmly stick his weapon right in the thief’s face.

Even more impressive was the incredible restraint that Alexander was able to show. According to the police report, the thief walked in the store smoking a cigarette, which he was promptly told to put out. The thief then drew his gun and demanded “all the f*cking money.”

Before the thief was able to raise his gun, Alexander was able to block the thief’s arm, draw his own weapon and point it directly in the man’s face. The thief then slowly backed away and bolted from the store.

Alexander explained that he never fired a shot because the thief’s weapon was never directly pointed at him.

“If I had seen the actual barrel of the gun, I would have pulled the trigger,” he said. “My life wasn’t threatened.”
