Rosie O’Donnell answers the call: ‘I’ll play Steve Bannon on SNL’

For the first time in the history of the U.S. presidency, Saturday Night Live seems to be causing unrest within the White House.

President Trump has repeatedly lamented the comedy show’s characterization of him, namely through the genius talent of Alec Baldwin. Even White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was a bit miffed by Melissa McCarthy‘s portrayal of him this past weekend.

According to POLITICO, Trump was bothered by McCarthy’s portrayal of Spicer as well, allegedly because it was done by a woman. As a result, social media erupted with calls for a woman to step up and portray other males on the Trump team.

Now, Trump’s longtime nemesis Rosie O’Donnell has offered her services in SNL’s highly effective onslaught against the President’s ego, saying she’ll play controversial White House chief strategist Steve Bannon.

O’Donnell answered the call in a series of tweets this Monday:

From The Hill:

O’Donnell and Trump have been engaged in an ongoing public feud for more than a decade. Trump has called the comedian a “pig” and “a woman out of control,” while O’Donnell has said the president is “not a self-made man” and frequently rails against him on Twitter.
