NRA host would love it if North Korea obliterated California instead of Guam

As North Korea’s war of words with the U.S. grows into a full-blown crisis, the NRA managed to use the situation to spew more of its bizarre anti-liberal propaganda.

In a now-deleted tweet from this Friday, NRA TV host Grant Stinchfeld said that if North Korea went ahead and rained down missile on California, that’d be just dandy with him.

“Let’s send a note to North Korea that Sacramento changed its name to Guam!” Stinchfeld wrote in a tweet that he later deleted, referring to NK’s threat to fire missiles at the U.S. island territory.

Sacramento, which is California’s state capital, has repeatedly been the target of the NRA over its strict gun laws.

According to Media Matters, the tweet “followed an August 10 statement from the NRATV host during his show Stinchfield that media criticizing President Donald Trump’s response to North Korea are ‘deceitful’ and ‘anti-American,’ and that they’re doing so ‘simply to tear our country apart.'”

Speaking to the New York Daily News, Stinchfeld apologized for the tweet, saying, “It was meant as a joke and I regret it,” adding, “What’s going on with North Korea is now laughing matter.”
