This Wednesday, Martin Shkreli, also known as the “Pharma Bro,” had his bail revoked by a judge and was taken back into custody.
Shkreli was free on $5 million bail as he awaited sentencing after his trial on securities fraud, but prosecutors asked that he be locked up after he offered his followers money to snip a piece of Hillary Clinton’s hair while she was out on her book tour.
A jury acquitted Shkreli on five of the eight charges stemming from allegedly lying to investors and stealing from another one of his companies to pay them back.

But prosecutors said his escalating antics, including continued harassment of journalists and the offer of $5,000 for whoever would get him a lock of Hillary Clinton’s hair from her book tour, were a step too far. (The Secret Service had to follow up on the remark.)
Shkreli apologized for his antics in a letter to the judge before the hearing.
He pleaded that it “never occurred” to him that the “awkward attempt at humor or satire would cause Mrs. Clinton or the Secret Service any distress,” he wrote, adding, “I used poor judgment.”
Earlier this month, Shkreli made a post on Facebook where he said, “The Clinton Foundation is willing to KILL to protect its secrets. So on HRC’s book tour, try to grab a hair from her. I must confirm the sequences I have.”
Shkreli then offered a $5,000 bounty for a lock of Hillary’s hair and promised payment “after the sequence matches.” In response to the backlash over the post, Shkreli’s attorney’s said his comments were protected speech.
