Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is getting roasted like a chestnut on an open fire for what’s probably in the top-ten most ill-informed Instagram posts from a former White House staffer ever.
In a post from this Tuesday, Spicer shared an image from the White House showing a copy of Charles Dickens’ classic tale A Christmas Carol that, according to Spicer, belonged to FDR. In the caption of the post, Spicer was apparently under the misconception that he was looking at a songbook.
“FDRs (sic) book of Christmas Carols,” Spicer wrote as a caption.
For someone who comes from a party that rants and raves about an alleged “war in Christmas,” Spicer is woefully inept when it comes to Christmas culture. Either way, brutal mockery ensued.
“Please tell me this is just a really really fucking bad joke,” one commenter wrote.
“Nobody tell him,” wrote another.
The ridicule eventually made its way over to Twitter, where the real damage was done.
