Alex Jones‘ penchant for calling the survivors of mass shootings “crisis actors” has got him a pickle. The crackpot conspiracy theorist and InfoWars founder is just one strike away from being banned from YouTube as a result of his spreading of misinformation and vile conspiracy theories.
“This is the second strike applied to your account within three months. As a result, you’re unable to post new content to YouTube for two weeks,” an alert sent to Jones’ account read. “If there are no further issues, the ability to upload will be automatically restored after this two week period.”
The latest strike comes after InfoWars’ repeated claims that the students-turned activists who survived the Parkland shooting are actually actors paid to disseminate anti-gun propaganda.
One of those students, 17-year-old David Hogg, addressed Jones directly in a Twitter post early this Tuesday, saying that since Jones is “confused” about Hogg’s agenda, he’d love to come on the show and “clear things up” since Jones’ “shit journalist” skills weren’t up to the task.
Hey Alex Jones you seem to be really confused as to what I do/who I am I'd love to come on and clear some of this up because clearly as a shit journalist you can't clearly.

In a subsequent tweet, Hogg wrote, “Wait … didn’t you get sued for [peddling] lies about the survivors and victims of another school shooting? Clearly someone didn’t learn from their mistakes.”
Jones took the bait and invited Hogg to come on his show. But Hogg soon after clarified that he “will not speak to anyone that has had disgusting remarks to victims of mass shootings in the past,” adding that he posted his initial tweet “without realizing just how awful so many people have been to victims and witnesses of these events in the past.”
David Hogg challenged me to a debate by bullying and viciously attacking me. After I politely accepted, he backed out when his real goal of baiting me failed. Only #HoggWash fears investigation

Alex Jones getting riled up enough by a teenager to tweet at him gives me hope for the future. Trumpists have such a rude awakening coming.

He was able to look up and see that you are a complete fraud in only a few minutes. Wish your viewers were as smart as David.

Lashing out on today’s episode of the The Alex Jones Show, Jones complained that Hogg was poking fun at him on Twitter, and that Hogg was “clearly trying to bait me.”
“We know that CNN, from research we’ve got, is advising him and the rest of it” Jones said. “So, that’s just how it is. So the young man, 18-year-old man, he can have us banned, play the victim, and then sit there on his Twitter to—close to 300,000, or is it more than 300,000—followers and defame me and lie about me and say whatever he wants.”
