Ann Coulter on Trump: He’s the ‘biggest wimp to ever serve as president’

Ironically, one of President Trump‘s most vocal critics is someone who, depending on the day, was one of his most loyal supporters. That person is conservative commentator Ann Coulter, and she’s slamming Trump on social media once again.

Reacting to the news that Trump accepted a funding bill that would temporarily end the government shutdown — a bill that didn’t include any money for his long-promised border wall — Coulter declared that Trump is now a bigger “wimp” than former President George H.W. Bush.

“Good news for George Herbert Walker Bush,” Coulter tweeted Friday morning. “As of today, he is no longer the biggest wimp ever to serve as President of the United States.”

Coulter, who published a book during the 2016 campaign titled “In Trump We Trust,” has quite a history of calling out Trump on social media when he deviates from what she thinks are promises to his base. In December of last year, she told The Daily Caller that she won’t vote for Trump in 2020 if construction on the border wall isn’t underway by then, adding that most of his supporters would abandon him as well.

“They’re about to have a country where no Republican will ever be elected president again,” she said. “Trump will just have been a joke presidency who scammed the American people, amused the populists for a while, but he’ll have no legacy whatsoever.”

Coulter was one of Trump’s most vocal and loyal supporters early on, but that tone changed after what she perceived to be his waffling on hardline immigration policies that she supported. In March of 2018, she slammed Trump over his signing of a $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill, which she said failed to deliver on his promise to build a US-Mexico border wall.

During that same month, Coulter commented on Trump’s troubles with porn star Stormy Daniels, who claimed that she slept with Trump only once.

“So Stormy says she and Trump had sex only once,” Coulter tweeted on March 26. “I guess if you want the guy to screw you repeatedly, you have to be one of his voters.”

According to Coulter, her repeated criticisms of Trump caused him to unfollow her on Twitter.
