Anti-gay Christian doctor: ‘Gay marriage is about teaching children to participate in gay sex’

Hate groups and conspiracy nuts always have a stash of experts and doctors who they can rely on to regurgitate their propaganda. Dr. Steve Hotze is one of those doctors, and his specialty is lending a façade of legitimacy to the Christian Right’s anti-gay movement.

Hate groups and conspiracy nuts always have a stash of experts and doctors who they can rely on to regurgitate their propaganda. Dr. Steve Hotze is one of those doctors, and his specialty is lending a façade of legitimacy to the Christian Right’s anti-gay movement.

“Once you allow [gays] acceptability, then you allow them to proliferate,” Dr. Hotze told Third Coast magazine in 1982 according to Mother Jones. “And they proliferate by one means, and one means only, and that’s recruiting. And they recruit the weak. They recruit children or young people in their formative years.”

As you can see, the ‘gays prey on children’ fallacy has been around for decades, but it’s still being perpetuated in its unchanged form today.

From The New Civil Rights Movement:

Mother Jones adds that just a few “years later, after overturning an anti-discrimination ordinance in Houston, Hotze organized a group of eight candidates he considered allies in the fight against homosexuality. He called them ‘the Straight Slate.’ His preferred mayoral candidate said that the best way to fight AIDS was to ‘shoot the queers.‘ Hotze told a local newspaper reporter that he cased out restaurants before making reservations to make sure they didn’t have any gay employees…”

Dr. Hotze, whose day job is CEO & Founder at Hotze Health & Wellness Center, and is also president of the Conservative Republicans of Texas, has not stopped making false statements about gay people. In fact, he has just become part of a brand new anti-gay group in his home state of Texas.

The group, REAL MARRIAGE, joined Dr. Hotze for a press conference this Tuesday, where he spit forth some of his most vile rhetoric yet.

It’s incredible how so many people are naive and misinformed that they believe all the lies and hate speech fed to them. No wonder why most of the world thinks that Americans are idiots!

Why is it that so many narrow-minded blow-hards are doctors? I think it’s the way their brains are wired. They build an intuition-model of how the world operates, get cocky because they see patients getting healed due to their insights, and then project that model onto the rest of the world.
