Anti-LGBT pastor: ‘Roy Moore lost because Alabama watches too much porn’

Speaking on his radio program this Tuesday, nutbag anti-LGBT pastor Kevin Swanson shared his thoughts on why Roy Moore lost his bid for the Alabama Senate.

Swanson mentioned data that showed Alabama as one of the states that spent the most time on the website Pornhub in 2016. According to Swanson, it’s a clear indication that Alabama “probably has significant sexual problems, especially since Doug Jones is so in favor of sexual perversion, transgenderism and homosexuality. Evidently, the state of Alabama must have a problem with sexuality. It’s obvious.”

Swanson went on to say that unless there’s a “spiritual awakening” in conservative states, they’ll probably become “liberal in their moral values within another five, 10, or 20 years.”

“If the fathers are doing pornography, the kids are going to turn into homosexuals,” Swanson said.

“The fathers will hide their sin and the children will come out of the closet with it. By the way, the top porn search word in Alabama and Mississippi is ‘lesbian.’ So another indication that the father’s generation is dabbling in porn, the children’s generation will go head over heels for some of the most egregious sexual crimes that men ever engage in.”

Swanson is no stranger to bizarre theories when it comes to the specter of sex. During an extended rant at the National Religious Liberties Conference in 2015 — following speeches from Republican candidates Ted CruzMike Huckabee and Bobby Jindal on the previous day, Swanson said parents should drown themselves before they let their children read J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter because of the gay character Dumbledore. “For tens of millions of parents it would be better that a millstone be hung around their neck and they be drowned at the bottom of the sea,” he said. He’s also criticized the Girl Scouts for “promoting lesbianism” and movies like “Harry Potter” and “How To Train Your Dragon” for featuring “homosexual mentors provided to little boys.”
