Armed anti-Muslim protesters turn tail and run from mosque when met with armed counter-protesters

An anti-Muslim group who regularly conducts armed protests at mosques to intimidate worshippers got an unexpected surprise this Saturday, when an armed faction of the Black Panthers were there to greet them in Texas, according to the Dallas Morning News.

“This is an armed defense maneuver, making sure that our communities are safe and secure from any insurgents coming in,” Krystal Muhammad of the New Black Panther Party, who was armed with a shotgun, told Fox4. “We won’t allow anybody to come in and try to intimidate our brothers and sisters.”

The Bureau of American Islamic Relations (BAIR) made news stalking Muslims in Irving back in November, and in December, they targeted Muslims at the Islamic Association of North Texas.

The Panthers were joined by the Nation of Islam and the Huey P. Newton Gun Club during the armed showing.

“We will not allow them to come to South Dallas with arms and intimidate our people,” Yafeuh Balogun, spokesman for the Huey P. Newton Gun Club, told Fox 4. “We’re taking a defensive posture, but we’re not threatening anyone.”

Soon after, BAIR left without incident.

“It’s a people’s victory here in South Dallas today,” Balogun said.

“We’re not doing sit-ins,” Muhammad added. “We’re straight-up standing up.”
