Audience erupts with boos and jeers when GOP rep praises Benghazi probe: ‘You’re lying!’

While speaking at a D.C. forum with ABC’s Jonathan Karl, House GOP Conference Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers received boos and hisses from the audience when she defended her party’s ongoing Benghazi investigation – primarily targeting Hillary Clinton.

Karl asked McMorris Rodgers about a recent comment by GOP House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who came under fire this week for suggesting the GOP probe regarding the 2012 attack at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya was designed to hurt Clinton in the polls.

“I do believe that the work that we’re doing in the Benghazi committee is very important,” McMorris Rodgers said as boos started to rise from the audience. “We’ve not yet had important questions answered.”

As the booing grew louder, someone in the audience shouted, “You’re lying!”

McMorris Rodgers praised Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), who chairs the special committee that House GOP leaders created to focus solely on Benghazi. According to the Huffington Post, Clinton is testifying before the committee on Oct. 22.

“Trey Gowdy is an honorable man. He is respected. He is a former prosecutor who knows how to go about it,” she said. “He has approached it in a way where he is asking questions and he has not made it political.”

after 8 investigations that have shown no wrong doing how about they go after G.W. Bush and all of the embassy bombings under him as there were many more deaths and a lot more than 1 invasion, which the GOP had cut security funding to this embassy before the attack and the GOP had been warned that this was a possibility. place the blame where it properly belongs, on the shoulders of the GOP.

Her comments are standard double talk for the relentless and inappropriately motivated attacks on a bonafide Presidential candidate. Theirs is a history of witch hunts, of spending endless hours and endless taxpayer funds to navigate their treacherous ship of dishonor through the shoals of contempt, mendacity and downright self aggrandizement. She was correctly called out as a LIAR.

There was a time when our representatives in Washington took the “peoples” business as
a serious undertaking. It’s my opinion that the last 14-15 years have seen a decline due to the fanatical ideological positions held by the current version of the GOP….not the GOP of the past! Until this party reverts to its’ old self, I only see a further deterioration of our standing in the eyes of the world………….*note to GOP, “compromise is NOT A DIRTY WORD!!!!

Why, as a person with som responsibility in the House, does this otherwise nonentity feel she has to repeat the same old garbage about the House and Bengazi and every issue brought up by the long-winded host!? Is she afraid that some creativity, some semblance of new ideas is going to destroy her clout? Lord, what a robotic, Stepford wife loser she is!!!!
