Christian preacher: Trump’s opponents are like Jews afraid to admit that Jesus is the Messiah

During a streaming Periscope video this Monday night, far-right preacher Lance Wallnau continued the great tradition of evangelical preachers praising Trump as God’s anointed.

According to Wallnau, there are millions of Americans who are afraid to admit that they support Trump — just like Jews in the bible who knew Christ was the Son of God but were too afraid to admit it.

“I’m just fed up with the fact that believers have to operate like the Jewish people did,” Wallnau says in a clip flagged by Right Wing Watch.

“They all knew Jesus was the Messiah but nobody actually identified with him for fear of being put out of the synagogue,” he continued. “I mean, Donald Trump is that for me. You’ve got 50 million people that voted for him and you wouldn’t know where they are.”

Wallnau said that there are too many people afraid of angering the “moronic elites who are progressively antagonistic to Donald Trump.”

But Wallnau thinks those afraid to voice support for Trump will still turn out to vote in the midterms, resulting in “the first election where the 30 or so seats that are supposed to be lost don’t get lost.”

“In Hollywood and in the entertainment circles, conservatives and Christians cannot openly acknowledge their values and beliefs for fear of being put out of the synagogue,” Wallnau said.

“How is this not like Israel at the time when Jesus was here? It’s exactly like that.”
