Christian TV host: A new ‘ice age’ is coming, but that’s good because it’ll kill porn and Planned Parenthood

When it comes to bizarre predictions that never come to pass, the pro-Trump Christian cult is going for a world record. TruNews TV host Rick Wiles is no exception, but he sabotages himself by setting his predictions in the too-near future. Any good religious con artist knows that you gotta kick the can far enough down the road so people forget and don’t hold you accountable.

In mid-October, Wiles said liberals would “kill Christians” and “burn the churches” if Democrats win in the midterms. Before that, he said that MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow was organizing a leftist mob that would invade the White House and drag out Trump and his family and “decapitate them on the lawn of the White House.” Now, he’s warning his followers that an “ice age” is due to strike sometime this year or next, but according to him, that’s not such a bad thing.

“We believe that China is well aware of the ice age,” Wiles said this Tuesday in a clip flagged by Right Wing Watch. “And that’s why they’re developing an artificial sun, developing artificial moons — and people here in the U.S., you can laugh, mock, ridicule all you want, but you’re going to end up freezing to death.”

“This thing is here, it’s arriving and it’s arriving quickly and it’s arriving this year. We’re going to see the onset of this ice age in the winter of 2018-2019, but it’s really gonna kick in next winter.”

TruNews co-host Doc Burkhart then explained why God would allow something like this to happen.

“All these things are happening as a result of man’s sin,” Burkhart said. “Because we’re connected with the earth, man’s sin is causing this disruption in the earth.”

“It was our sin that really cascaded this whole problem that we’re seeing in the world around us,” Burkhart added. “And so, when you see these things happening, it’s the result of man’s sin, not God’s wrath.”

It may not be God’s wrath, but it sure comes in handy if you want to “freeze out Planned Parenthood,” Wiles said.

“There won’t be very many abortions in America 15 or 20 years from now” as a result of the ice age, Wiles predicted.

“There is not going to be a lot of pornography consumption. There is not going to be a lot of drug use. It’s going to freeze out a lot of sin, that’s for sure because a lot of people are going to be dead. That is just a fact. An ice age wipes out a substantial portion of the population.”
