Creationist Ken Ham claims dinosaurs and humans fought in gladiator battles

Creationist Ken Ham installed a new display featuring dinosaurs and humans battling giants in a gladiator-like arena at the Noah’s Ark attraction in Kentucky.

Ham, founder of Answers in Genesis and the Ark Encounter exhibit, tweeted an image of the new diorama on Thursday.

In the first image, the diorama portrays a dinosaur entering the arena on the far right, a giant on the left apparently about to spear a human and a crowd cheering on the fictitious scene.

Ham, known for following a literal interpretation of the Bible, believes the Earth is roughly 6,000 years old and that humans existed alongside dinosaurs. In his Ark Encounter exhibit, Ham depicts Noah’s Ark as a vessel that carried dinosaurs during the “Great Flood,” which the bible states happened roughly 4,300 years ago.

Scientists estimate that dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago, or a good 64.8 million years before the first homo sapiens, who showed up in the evolutionary scene roughly 200,000 years ago.

Unsurprisingly, folks on Twitter found Ham’s idea rather amusing:
