The editor-in-chief for The Daily Beast is calling for Americans to boycott companies that do business with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The Beast’s Noah Shachtman took to Twitter Sunday to express his aversion and distaste for the tactics used in the former reality TV star’s campaign.
Shachtman’s tweet comes just after Trump posted a graphic that centered around false statistical data about “black-on-black crime” and was later discovered to have been created by a Neo-Nazi Twitter user.
Let’s get real: if you’re renting in a Trump building or playing a round of golf at a Trump resort, you are supporting racism & neo-fascism.

Seems to me it’s time for a boycott of Trump’s businesses – and a public calling out of those who choose to work with him. — Noah Shachtman (@NoahShachtman) November 22, 2015
6 months ago, you could say you were doing business w Trump w/o endorsing his views. 8,000 racist moments later, that’s no longer feasible. — Noah Shachtman (@NoahShachtman) November 23, 2015
Today, if you rent a room at a Trump Hotel, you’re making a statement – a choice to be pro-racist, pro-fascist.
