DHS calls cops after Duggars refuse to let them see a child they were concerned about

In case you didn’t know, the Duggar family is under investigation again by the Arkansas Department of Human Services, and In Touch Magazine is reporting that police were called recently when the family allegedly refused to cooperate with the investigation.

According to In Touch, a representative from Washington County DHS called 9-11 on May 27, asking for police assistance when the Duggars refused to let them see a minor they were concerned about.

From In Touch:

The new investigation comes as the family tries to save its TLC reality show, 19 Kids and Counting, which the network pulled off the air, while determining its fate. Jim Bob, Michelle and two of their daughters sat for interviews with Fox News, attempting to minimize the damage, but much of what they said was widely condemned as misinformation and not full disclosure.

The Duggars made no mention of the fact that they have been under investigation again, but In Touch discovered what they are hiding via another Freedom of Information Act request that produced the 911 call.

In Touch obtained a transcript of the call, where a DHS rep tells the 9-11 dispatcher, “We have an investigation and I guess they’re not being cooperative. We have to see the child to make sure the child is all right. So we just need police assistance.”

It’s not known what triggered the latest investigation, but experts say it can be any kind of suspicion from a DHS employee that an allegation meets child abuse and maltreatment laws.
