On the heels of Elon Musk’s stepping down from his position on White House advisory councils in response to President Trump withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement, the Walt Disney Company’s CEO Bob Iger announced that he’ll be following Musk’s lead.
In a tweet posted this Thursday, Iger said he was leaving his role on Trump’s advisory council as “a matter of principle” in response to Trump’s announcement that the U.S. will be withdrawing from the accord.
As a matter of principle, I've resigned from the President's Council over the #ParisAgreement withdrawal.
