Donald Trump’s first Twitter war was with Jon Stewart, and Stewart won

During the Stand Up For Heroes benefit in New York on Tuesday night, comedian Jon Stewart spoke about how long before Donald Trump was known for his late-night unhinged Twitter rants, he was testing out his form of social media vindictiveness on Stewart.

Stewart relayed a story he entitled, “The Day I Woke Up to Find Out Someone Was Tweeting Weird Sh*t About Me.”

The tweet in question is the one below from 2013:

After a few more tweets from Donald Trump that echoed the same theme, Stewart thought to himself, “Oh, I think this guy is trying to let people know I’m a Jew.”

So Stewart decided to tweet back:

“Many people don’t know this, but Donald Trump’s real name is ‘F*ckface Von Clownstick.”

Incensed, Trump carried on with the Twitter feud, so Stewart twisted the knife a little, using his Daily Show account:

“Silence,” Stewart recalled. “Four days later, I sh*t you not, perhaps the next president of the greatest country in the world — at 1:30 in the morning — tweeted…”

“Vote wisely this November,” Stewart pleaded.
