DWTS dancer says Scientology agents secretly stalked him to look for dirt on Leah Remini

According to a report from TMZ, Dancer Tony Dovolani said that the Church of Scientology followed him to get defaming information on Leah Remini, his partner on season 17 of Dancing With the Stars.

Remini enraged Scientologist leaders after she left the cult and published a tell-all book that exposed corruption and hypocrisy of the religion.

TMZ says Scientology followed Dovolani in 2013 looking to find information that would discredit Remini, even through association, and taint her public image.

“I was followed a few times. They tried to find anything they can on a person and try to use it against them,” said Dovolani.”They were trying to create any type of thing they wanted to — like a rumor or whatever. They could not find anything because I’m a happily married dude. I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Remini was raised in the Church, but split with Scientology in 2013. She has spoke out against the church repeatedly, revealing poor treatment of women in the group, including Tom Cruise’s wife Katie Holmes, and the practice of charging millions for “re-training” and the privilege of meeting church leaders, like Cruise. The Church fired back with a barrage of character attacks, and unsuccessfully tried to get more information by following anyone who has had contact with Remini.

“[Remini] informed me a lot about Scientology,” Dovolani said. “You really want to read this book because it really does open your eyes about a lot of injustice that’s been done.
