In the wake of the FBI raiding Donald Trump’s Palm Beach resort, a Florida GOP lawmaker took to Twitter to proclaims that all federal agencies should be banned from the state.
State Rep. Anthony Sabatini, who is running for Congress, tweeted this Tuesday, “It’s time for us in the Florida Legislature to call an emergency legislative session & amend our laws regarding federal agencies.”
“Sever all ties with DOJ immediately. Any FBI agent conducting law enforcement functions outside the purview of our State should be arrested upon sight,” he added.
According to reports, the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago concerned presidential records that Trump removed from the White House when he left office.
The execution of the search warrant likely signals a significant escalation in the investigation that the Department of Justice has been quietly working on for months.
