Guy with a sledgehammer destroys Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

In an early morning attack on Wednesday, a man destroyed Donald Trump‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a sledgehammer.

Deadline Hollywood identified the attacker as Jamie Otis, who disguised himself as a city construction worker to carry out the deed which took place at 5:45 a.m.

Otis told DH that his original plan was to remove the star entirely and auction it off in New York City, with the proceeds going towards the numerous women who’ve accused Trump of sexual assault.

Trump’s star on Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood, California was earned during his time has the host of the NBC reality TV show “The Apprentice.” Trump’s star has been vandalized multiple times since he launched his presidential campaign last year.

According to The Hill, back in July a street artist erected a miniature concrete wall around the star to protest Trump’s plan to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Earlier this year, a petition to remove the star gained thousands of signatures but was ultimately rejected by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
