Huckabee, Cruz, and Jindal scheduled to speak at rally hosted by pastor who wants gays executed

Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, and Bobby Jindal are all scheduled to speak at the upcoming “National Religious Liberties Conference” in Iowa next week. The conference is organized by the far-right pastor Kevin Swanson, who has openly advocated for putting gay people to death.

In a great move forward for conservative politics, GOP 2016 contenders Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, and Bobby Jindal are all scheduled to speak at the upcoming “National Religious Liberties Conference” in Iowa next week. The conference is organized by the far-right pastor Kevin Swanson, who has openly advocated for putting gay people to death.

Ben Carson has also reportedly RSVPd to the event, but his name did not appear on the press release.

Many of the speakers appearing alongside the candidates hold similar views to Swanson, including the President of “American Vision,” Joel McDurmon, who once said that “God revealed that the homosexual act is a civil crime,” adding that “it just so happens that He revealed that the homosexual act as a civil crime deserves the death penalty.”

In 2009, McDurmon criticized the Ugandan government for not going far enough with a bill designed to criminalize homosexuality.

“I think that in a certain place in society when most of the society is Christian –is biblical – that it is perfectly normal, it definitely should be in place homosexuality should receive the death penalty,” McDurmon said.

From Right Wing Watch:

Kevin Swanson, the conference’s chief organizer, is a far-right pastor and host of the “Generations Radio” program, on which he has frequently claimed that the government should put gay people to death, warned that the Girl Scouts and the movie “Frozen” turn girls into lesbians and blamed natural disasters on gay people and women who wear pants.

Swanson, who also openly supported the Ugandan bill, once praised the Pilgrims for their harsh penalties for homosexuality which included execution, banishment, and whippings.

I am absolutely appalled by the rhetoric of these people. none of you are fit to lead this nation, nor any other nation for that matter. everyone of you should be brought up on charges of conspiracy to commit murder. I hope your “Hell” is real simply so you can be citizens of it…

If you are of Jesus, you love ALL people, you care for those in need of help, and you are the light in the dark world.
If you are of the Devil, you hate those different or have less than you, you are greedy turning your head claiming they do not deserve anything, and you are part of the darkness of the world.

If you are of Jesus you are kind and help the poor, the elderly, the children, the disabled, the widows, feed the homeless, and never turn those away in need of sanctuary.
If you are of the Devil you attempt to do away with minimum wage for the poor, you want to dissolve Social Security for the elderly, take away food stamps and school lunches from children, against Medicare/Medicaid for the disabled, ban equal pay for women, cry out for the homeless to be removed from your sight, and you denounce immigrants fleeing from terrorism..

If you are of Jesus you support anything or anybody that helps the least of these.
If you are of the Devil you scream that the government has no right to help the least of these.

If you are a Democrat you believe in the free programs to help the least of these.
If you are a republican you believe these are the losers, the moochers, and the lazy.

If you are of Jesus you believe in helping the least of these.
If you are of the Devil you believe anything that helps the least of these is wrong.

Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,”
Now I ask, if you vote republican, how can you call yourself a Christian, a follower of Jesus?

Swanson is not a Christian. And the jugheads who are speaking at his event are not presidential material.

Christians please get your own house in order. Oh and keep your women silent. Believe it all and follow it at or not at all.

You are not Christians. You are not following Christ’s teachings in any of your thoughtless slogans. To call these erroneous positions policies implies way more thought than you appear to give anything. You are pandering to the lowest elements in your party. Your actions are examples of taking the Lord’s name in vain.

McDurmon desecrated his body with tattoos.

Now perhaps you should look into penalties for your punishment, before giving advice on other “sins.”
    Christians are such hypocrites.

    All three are fairly irrelevant.

This guy is claiming to be Christian, yet he claims that with love in his heart, homosexuals should be killed? What kind of nonsense is this?

Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:28). He has tattoos and is saying all laws in the old testament need to be followed. Just an observation.

Our founding fathers addressed “Separation of church and state”. If more people actually followed the constitution that founded this country, we wouldn’t be having this argument. If you don’t want to follow this country’s constitution, what are you doing here?

Come on Iowa. Get your reason back and gently shut down or at least shun the sickest bigot broadcaster and the slime politicians he attracts. A “pastor” advocating murder?

But dog forbid if the gays were to go out and hire hitmen to defend themselves. Right?
