Kanye West booted off Illinois ballot after submitting invalid signatures

“Yeezy come, Yeezy go,” as the New York Post says.

Various reports say that Kanye West has been booted off the Illinois ballot after failing to get the 2,500 valid names needed to to qualify.

“To qualify as an Independent, West needed 2,500 valid signatures. According to a state board report on the objections, given to Tenner, West filed 3,128 signatures, but 1,928 of those were found invalid,” the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

CNN has reported that Republican operatives are helping West get on state ballots in an effort to water down the Democratic vote.

West is currently on Colorado’s ballot.
