Kermit the Frog is alive and well and living in a Costa Rican jungle.

A new species called Diane’s Bare-hearted Glassfrog (Hyalinobatrachium dianae), has been discovered. It has an incredible translucent underbelly (hence the name “glassfrog”) and bulging white eyes that look just like our favorite muppet.

Apparently there are only 14 glassfrogs in Costa Rica, so it goes without saying that “it ain’t easy being green” for these little fellows.
