Man hauled off plane for sexually assaulting a woman: ‘Trump said it was okay’

A man from Florida who groped a woman on a flight from Texas to New Mexico has been charged with sexual assault, WESH2 reports. It’s not an unheard of occurrence, but the way the man explained himself got the story some extra attention.

According to the woman’s account, the man inappropriately touched more than once her while she was asleep, finally causing her to stand up and confront him. The man, later identified as Bruce Michael Alexander, was arrested when the plane landed.

From WESH2:

According to the complaint, after Alexander was placed under arrest, he asked police what the sentence was for the charge he was being arrested for. Later, in the police vehicle, Alexander told officers that the president of the United States “says it’s OK to grab women by their private parts.”

Alexander was likely referencing the infamous Access Hollywood tape that was recorded in 2005, where Trump can be heard bragging about grabbing women’s genitalia without their consent. ”

…when you’re a star, they let you do it,” Trump said. “They let you do anything.”

The woman said Alexander touched her near her “bra line.” Initially, she thought it may have been a mistake and let it go. But the second time it happened, she felt it was done a little “attentively.”

“After she felt the second touch, she rose from her seat, turned around and told the passenger behind her that she didn’t know why he thought it was OK (to touch her) and he needed to stop,” the complaint read. “(The woman) then asked a Southwest Airlines crew member to be reseated to another section of the aircraft.”

He’s since been charged with one federal count of “abusive sexual contact.” He faces up to two years in prison.

The story is reminiscent of a Connecticut GOP politician who was arrested for allegedly grabbing a female in the groin area back in 2017.

The actual incident took place in December of 2016, and according to reports, Christopher von Keyserling was engaged in a “political argument” with a woman and allegedly declared, “I love this new world. I no longer have to be politically correct.” As the woman turned to walk away, Keyserling reportedly reached from behind and placed his hand between her legs and grabbed near her genital area.
