Melania Trump’s website has vanished from the Internet after allegations she lied about having a college degree

Melania Trump’s website has been taken offline in the wake of allegations that she lied about earning a college degree in design and architecture.

As the Huffington Post points out, a book from earlier this year chronicling her life titled Melania Trump: The Inside Story, said she only attended classes for a year but then dropped out to pursue her career in modeling.

Before the website was pulled offline yesterday, Melania’s bio claimed that her modeling career started after she obtained her degree.

“At the age of eighteen, she signed with a modeling agency in Milan,” the bio on her website states. “After obtaining a degree in design and architecture at University in Slovenia, Melania was jetting between photo shoots in Paris and Milan…”

The books authors claim that the Trump campaign embellished Melania’s biography to make her seem more educated and accomplished.

“[They] were desperate to give off the impression that the Slovenian model was not just beautiful, but also smart and well-educated,” the book says.

Now, melaniatrump.com redirects to her husband’s main website.

The scrubbing of Melania’s website makes sense. Since updating the bio to reflect the truth would be an admission of guilt, they probably figured that just deleting the thing entirely would be a way to make their little fib go away.
