Parkland survivor makes parody NRA ad: ‘What if politicians weren’t the bitch of the NRA?’

David Hogg survived the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school in Florida. Since then, he’s become one of the most vocal and public gun control activists to emerge in modern times, and he’s not shy about calling out the NRA. Now he’s released a new ad that parodies the NRA’s threatening and hostile style of advertising.

“What if our politicians weren’t the bitch of the NRA?” Hogg asks at the outset of the piece.

“What if we all voted and said this is not okay?” he asks.

The ad then shows a litany of clips chronicling the rising wave of activism and political sentiment against the notorious gun lobby group.

“What if we stood up as Americans and fought for our freedom — and our children’s lives?”

Echoing NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch’s familiar send-offs, Hogg concludes the video by saying, “My name is David Hogg, and I stand with the Never Again movement.”

“Join us on March 24th as we March for Our Lives and the future of America.”
