“Dabbing” apparently is not appropriate for a commemorative picture in Congress, at least according to House Speaker Paul Ryan.
After being sworn into the new Congress Tuesday, Kansas GOP Rep. Roger Marshall paused to take a photo with his family and Ryan. Seeing an opportunity, Marshall’s son raised his arm to dab, only to be shut down by the Speaker.
“Are you alright?” Ryan asked the boy, who nodded yes while seemingly chuckling.
“Can you put your hand down?” a visibly annoyed Ryan asked, while forcibly putting the boy’s hand down for him. “Are you going to sneeze? Is that it?”
In case you’re not familiar with what “dabbing” is, you can refer to this video.
