Poll: Most Americans View Sarah Palin Unfavorably and Don’t Want Her to Hold Office Again

According to a new poll released by the Huffington Post, most Americans don’t like the idea of Sarah Palin as a U.S.  Senator.

The poll revealed that 49 percent don’t want Palin to hold public office again, with an additional 15 percent saying they couldn’t care either way. Only 35 percent said they favored a Palin reentry to politics.

Appearing on the Sean Hannity Show this Tuesday, Palin mentioned that she was considering a run for the Senate seat currently being by Alaska Democrat Mark Begich.

“I’m still waiting to see, you know, what the lineup will be and hoping that ,there again, there will be some new blood, new energy — not kind of picking from the same old politicians of the state,” Palin said on Hannity’s show.

In a separate Public Policy Polling survey from February, Palin would face an uphill battle in a race against Begich. The PPP poll found Palin at a 16 percentage point disadvantage in a hypothetical matchup.

In addition, the HuffPost post poll found that only 38 percent of Americans view Sarah Palin favorably.

Those polls are biased! Just ask her or any of her Tea Party supporters, they’ll be glad to straighten you out on the “facts”. They “know” that they are in the majority and therefore the majority of the country would love to see her in the Oval Office. lmao smh

Uh Bob, the majority of this country voted for Obama, so the majority will not likely favor Palin. However, in Alaska, you may be right. Before you get all dadburn fired up though, Huffpost, while it’s starting to lean more and more right, is still read by a lot of liberals, so I agree, the poll is likely bias. Heaven help is all if Palin makes it into the senate. I’m personally hoping the republican party dinosaurs, most of whom are reminiscent of the 60’s era whacks who fought against civil rights and desegregation (remember those establishment types whom we all didn’t like?), well here’s hoping they all go away soon so we can return to normal.

I’d love to be able to say that we Brits are quaking in our boots like we were when various Bushes and Reagan were up for positions of power…
Palin is just a sad joke, as is her party…

I have to admit, a poll by HuffPo with these results is a no-brainer, and I question its validity. I wouldn’t mind her running for the entertainment value alone.

I am happy to know most Americans reject Sarah Palin, but… 35% of supporters seems enormous to me in view of her extreme politics and lack of any kind of recognizable intelligence.

I am truly ashamed of America, if as many as 36% want to see her hold a national public office. I would be ashamed if it was 10%. What have we sunk to!

it is all academic anyway. This woman isn’t going to run for anything. Being a Senator would require work and this woman doesn’t like work. What she craves more is attention and this “Oh, I’m thinking about it” is just to keep people talking about her — positive or negative, they are talking about her and she is making money. Palin and payday. That’s all she cares about.

That the TP continues to live under the demonstrably provable fact that they are a fringe group, the fact that they’d elect an uninformed person to the extent Mrs. Palin is, with the history of not following through (she QUIT her last job in public service) just shows to what level TPers vote from an uneducated, immoral, and Anti-American perspective.

Make no mistake, the uneducated electing the uneducated might seem to some to be some backwards method of opposing those with education (that some may disagree with), but it is a farce, as Mrs. Palin has been her whole life in politics.

I have to disagree with you. Her biggest asset is following her below the waist line, and I would, as long as her face was buried in a pillow, have a go.

You’re making your assessment of the poll based on a false assumption, Ann. If an organization such as the Huffpost conducted a “poll” only among it’s followers it would not be a poll, it would be a survey. As long as a poll is conducted properly using a true scientific method those questioned are a random sample and therefore reliable results can be obtained.

People regularly believe, mistakenly that a poll is slanted in order to reflect the view that the pollster holds. It can be but it is unlikely. It is much more likely that it is reliable no matter the source as long as it was done using a truly random sample.

That is a good point. The fact that she’s thought enough about it to say it, though, has me scared. But you’re right, every couple of months, she finds another way to put herself back in the limelight.
Senator requires work, and as we know, she couldn’t even finish her job as Governor.

To those who are pointing out that Bob is being sarcastic, and advising me to learn it…how would I discern it based on what he wrote? I don’t know Bob, many T partiers spout exactly what he wrote: “poll are bias, and republicans are the majority” Who is he laughing is ass off about? The polsters? or is he laughing about his own sarcasm? (no offense Bob)

I think she thought the plastic surgery and the boob job would differentiate her from Michelle Bachmann. But actually, they are still two bat-shit crazy peas in a pod. I can’t believe she’d be foolish enough to run…unless there’s a LOT of money in it for her. As others have said, work isn’t high on her agenda…

Ann, I don’t take any offense, I didn’t say anything before because I thought that after others had pointed out the sarcasm and my explanation of how a proper poll is conducted you would get it. I actually thought the original post was clear, I did say that was what they would say not that I thought that.
