Poll: Most Americans View Sarah Palin Unfavorably and Don’t Want Her to Hold Office Again

According to a new poll released by the Huffington Post, most Americans don’t like the idea of Sarah Palin as a U.S.  Senator.

The poll revealed that 49 percent don’t want Palin to hold public office again, with an additional 15 percent saying they couldn’t care either way. Only 35 percent said they favored a Palin reentry to politics.

Appearing on the Sean Hannity Show this Tuesday, Palin mentioned that she was considering a run for the Senate seat currently being by Alaska Democrat Mark Begich.

“I’m still waiting to see, you know, what the lineup will be and hoping that ,there again, there will be some new blood, new energy — not kind of picking from the same old politicians of the state,” Palin said on Hannity’s show.

In a separate Public Policy Polling survey from February, Palin would face an uphill battle in a race against Begich. The PPP poll found Palin at a 16 percentage point disadvantage in a hypothetical matchup.

In addition, the HuffPost post poll found that only 38 percent of Americans view Sarah Palin favorably.
