Pro-Trump podcaster: Thanks to Trump, people now say ‘Merry Christmas’ in the Arby’s drive-thru

It’s a little early to be returning to the front lines of the War on Christmas, but Matt Couch is making sure to get a head start on the action.

In a livestream posted to his Twitter account this Thursday morning, Couch ranted about a few things he wanted to get off his chest, including “hypocritical Christians” (fair enough), but then he screwed it all up by declaring that President Trump “has everything to do with God.”

So much for the hypocritical Christians rant.

“We have not had a president since Ronald Reagan that has put Christ and Christianity first in America,” Couch declared, adding that Trump puts “Christ and Christianity and Christians first for a change, which is what our nation was founded upon.”

“Those are the facts,” he said.

“President Trump puts Christ first, President Trump puts the people of Israel first, he moved the embassy to Jerusalem — not one Democrat in office went over for the grand opening for the embassy in Jerusalem.”

According to Couch, “President Trump is a chosen man.”

“And if you don’t believe that, you just don’t understand how things are working out in this country and this world.”

Please, tell us how the world works, Matt.

“People say Merry Christmas now when you go through the drive-thru,” he added. “That didn’t happen 8 years ago, folks, and if you say any different you’re liar. I’m sorry, I hate to be that mean, but if anyone tries to tell that 8 years ago when Barack Hussein Obama was in the middle of his 8-year run, if any of you really think people were saying ‘Merry Christmas’ — hell no they weren’t. They were not. And I noticed that the last two years, it doesn’t matter if I go through an Arby’s or a Chick-fil-A, people are saying ‘Merry Christmas.'”

“They weren’t doing that 4 or 5 years ago,” he claimed. “President Trump has brought that back.”
