Pro-Trump Reddit groups are freaking out over internet privacy law’s repeal

Reddit is known as being a haven for despicable internet trolls, and one of its most grotesque havens in the pro-Trump community is apparently in upheaval after Trump voiced support over House Republicans voting for the death of Internet privacy.

Yes, even racist internet trolls on r/The_Donald care about internet privacy, and now they’re a bit upset that their political demigod would approve of selling away their privacy for chump change.

After House Republicans passed the resolution last week, it will now go to the President’s desk and he’s expected to sign it.

From The A.V. Club:

“[Reddit users] are now torn between supporting Trump and recognizing that supporting him is bad for them, which prompted one to say that it makes them “uncomfortable” to think that companies can track and sell their data and another to bemoan the fact that Trump and the GOP are giving even more power to companies like Comcast and Verizon that “screw us over all the time.”

“I am against anything and anyone that can track and sell my internet browser history,” one commenter wrote. Another commenter adds, “It makes me uncomfortable.”

“It’s taking us in the wrong direction,” another user commented. “We should be limiting the kind of data, not just saying ‘Hey those apps get more data then I doooo Not fair!’ Then say here you go Comcast, Verizon, and other companies that have been known to screw us over all the time. We’re going to give you power over us even more.”

Twitter, however, found the whole thing rather amusing:
