Rick Perry Compares ‘Courageous’ Anti-Gay Activists to Abolitionists (VIDEO)

Appearing on a broadcast with the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins this Sunday, GOP Texas Governor Rick Perry called gay rights the “flavor of the month” and a “pop culture” trend that would “tear apart” the Boy Scouts of America.

Perry suggested that activists who say the Boy Scouts should maintain its discriminatory policy towards gays are examples of the “principled leadership” of anti-slavery and anti-secession lawmakers during the Civil War.

So the leader of the state that thinks it has the right to secede because we have a black President thinks that the Boy Scouts should continue a discriminatory practice? That sounds about right.

How does Boy Scouts benefit America at all? Don’t they just go camping, and gay shit like that? It’s recreational luxury for stupid rich white-people with too much time on their hands.

I suppose that Rick Perry would argue that the KKK was a private organization that should not have been changed by “pop culture”!!!! What a complete moronic asshole this “christian” is.

Rick you too will lose your Governorship for your stance on this issue. Unlike Sam Houston you are wrong with your misguided beliefs. Sam must have rolled over in his grave when you compared yourself to him.

No, James, He would probably tell you that the KKK was created by the Democrats as so so many Teapubs claim. When I try to tell them that it began as a social club for former Confederate soldiers they call me a liar.

Scouts can teach you a lot. Its discrimination sucks, but I doubt every single individual in the scouts is as close minded as he is. My dad led my pack for a while and he’s as open minded and pro-equality as they come.
