S.C. governor Nikki Haley: ‘Trump is everything we teach our kids not to be’

South Carolina governor Nikki Haley not only criticized Donald Trump on ABC’s This Week, but bluntly questioned Chris Christie’s endorsement of the GOP frontrunner.

Haley, who supports Marco Rubio, told George Stephanopoulos:

“Donald Trump is everything we hear and teach our kids not to do in kindergarten.”

Haley called Trump a “bully” and said that Rubio is only doing what’s right by fighting against him. She admitted that the thought of Trump as a frontrunner and potential GOP candidate is terrifying, as it will force the entire republican party to rethink what they stand for and believe in.

When Stephanopoulos mentioned Chris Christie’s statement that Donald Trump will easily beat Hilary Clinton and become president, Haley dismissed that entirely.

“Chris is a dear friend, but none of us understands why he did this.”
