Sasha Barron Cohen uses ‘pedophile detecting machine’ on Roy Moore

On this week’s episode of his show Who is America?, Sasha Barron Cohen once again assumed the character of Israeli tactical defense/terrorism expert Col. Erran Morad and sat down with former Alabama Senate candidate (and alleged pedophile) Roy Moore. When Cohen tried to use his “pedophile detector machine” on Moore, it got a positive result, but Moore’s response wasn’t so positive.

During the segment, Cohen questioned Moore about the rash of allegations from numerous women who said he either sexually groomed or inappropriately touched them when they were teenagers and he was in his 30s.

After coaxing Moore into the discussion by bringing up his support for Israel, Cohen took out the machine, which he claimed was invented by the Israeli government.

“Sex offenders and particularly pedophiles secrete an enzyme for DDHT, which is actually detectable,” Cohen says. “It is three times the level as non perverts, so the phrase ‘sweating like a rapist’ is actually based on science.”

Cohen said the device is used in Israeli parks and schoolyards to detect if a pedophile is near. When Cohen waved the device over Moore, it went off.

“It’s malfunctioning,” Cohen said. He then used the device on himself and another person, only for it to stay silent. “Did you lend the jacket to somebody else?”

Needless to say, Moore wasn’t happy with how the interview progressed.

“I’ve been married for 33 years, I’ve never had an accusation of such things,” Moore said, seemingly forgetting the news cycle that enveloped him not too long ago. “If this is an instrument, then certainly I’m not a pedophile. I am simply cutting this conversation right now.”

He then got up and left.
