Security photo allegedly shows Belgian airport bombers moments before attack

Belgian police believe they have captured the suspected Belgian Airport bombers on tape. An image from security camera footage was released today after the bombing at Zaventem airport in Brussels. The attack on the airport and on one of the city’s metro stations left at least 30 people dead and hundreds more injured.

According to The Guardian, the two men in black are allegedly the suicide bombers who detonated their belts in the Zaventem terminal. The man to the right in khaki colors is suspected of fleeing the scene. A manhunt is underway for the suspect.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, according to a news agency affiliated with the terrorist group. A statement posted to ISIS’s Amaq Agency reads:

Islamic State fighters carried out a series of bombings with explosive belts and devices on Tuesday, targeting an airport and a central metro station in the center of the Belgian capital Brussels, a country participating in the international coalition against the Islamic State.

Islamic State fighters opened fire inside Zaventem Airport, before several of them detonated their explosive belts, as a martyrdom bomber detonated his explosive belt in the Maalbeek metro station. The attacks resulted in more than 230 dead and wounded.
