Televangelist Pat Robertson Attributes New Climate Change Study to ‘Nutty’ PH.D.s (VIDEO)

On Thursday, televangelist Pat Robertson dismissed the strong scientific evidence that large winter storms are a result of climate change, insisting that only “nutty” Ph.D.s believe the theory.

In a “report” featured on Robertson’s show the 700 Club, a recent Princeton study was mentioned that predicted that there would be less overall snowfall, but larger snow storms and blizzards as carbon dioxide rates rise substantially in the next half century.

“Only in Princeton would people say nutty things like that,” Robertson said. “You know, they get to be Ph.D.s and they wonder where they’ve studied and learned all these things. But I tell you, if you’re a true believer, bad things will happen because you see them coming.”

One of the “nutty” Ph.D.s quoted by The 700 Club was Professor of Geosciences and International Affairs Michael Oppenheimer, who has for years been a part of the Nobel Prize-winning International Panel on Climate Change.
