Texas GOP activist: ‘Stoning’ is a good response to trans-inclusive school policy

A former GOP candidate for the city of Forth Worth, Bo French, has come out in opposition to the new school district guidelines that outline updated and progressive methods for dealing with students who are transgender. On Facebook, French ranted about the policy, saying that it will lead to adult males preying on underaged females, adding that transgender children are “delusional.”

French launched a petition for the policy to be repealed, calling it “an astonishing and shocking rebuttal to common sense, history, and science.”

In the comment section of his Facebook page, French made some questionable comparisons.

“Do we accommodate some with anorexia? They think they are fat when they are not. Don’t we try to get them help? Of course because they are delusional.”

French insisted that he isn’t judgmental but is in fact looking out for the safety of young girls.

“I am not judging, I am trying to protect young girls from potentially dangerous predators in their bathrooms and locker rooms. My tax dollars pay for this nonsense so I have every right to be involved,” French wrote.

In a separate comment thread, a woman suggested using the age-old method of stoning to deal with bathroom offenders writing, “Stoning worked for thousands of years too!”

French then replied to her comment by writing, “Yes, and too bad we don’t do more of that here.”

The new policy that has French & Co. so worked up requires staff of the school district to use the preferred gender pronoun that the student prefers while not disclosing the student’s gender identity unless absolutely necessary. It also includes allowing transgender students to use the bathroom and locker room that aligns with their preference.

David Mack Henderson, President of the LGBT group Fairness Forth Worth, responded to French’s petition by writing:
