President who wants a military parade can’t even fucking spell ‘Marine Corps’

We’re living in an era where the President of the United States has the grammatical habits of a middle schooler. Random misspellings, weird capitalizations — Donald Trump‘s Twitter account is proof that public figures who tweet should also proofread. And “Marine Core”? Come on.

While giving a speech at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar on Tuesday, Trump made himself a laughing stock for thinking out loud and suggesting that in addition to having an Air Force, the U.S. should also have a “space force.”

Twitter had a field day. But it was about to get much worse.

Later that day, Trump managed to piss off a bunch of veterans with a now-deleted tweet which read:

“It was my great honor to deliver a message at the Marine Core Air Station Miramar to our GREAT U.S. Military, straight from the heart of the American people: We support you, we thank you, we love you — we will always have your back!”

Naturally, the Commander in Chief misspelling the name of a revered military institution didn’t go over well with veterans.

But you didn’t have to be a veteran to truly appreciate this latest WTF moment from our President.
