Mind blowing video has surfaced from Syria showing an infant being pulled from the rubble of a bombed-out building.
The unverified video was uploaded to Youtube by a group who opposes the regime of Syrian president Bashir al-Assad, and it shows a group of men frantically clawing into the dust and rubble of a building with their hands after reports said a baby had been heard crying beneath.
As they continue to dig, it becomes clear that there is actually a child submerged in the rubble. The child seems lifeless at first, but amazingly begins to rub its eyes and look around as the rescuers continue to dig him/her out.
Eventually the child is pulled from the rubble to the joyous cheers of the rescuers.
The video was apparently shot last Tuesday, following the bombing of a building by Syrian government forces in the city of Aleppo.
The civil war in Syria has been raging for almost three years and has cost an estimated 120,000 lives, with millions more people displaced from their homes.
