If Donald Trump wants to take attention away from the birther issue, waxing prophetic about a possible assassination of Hillary Clinton is one way to do it.
During a gun nut-pandering rally in Miami this Friday, Trump said that Clinton’s bodyguards should “disarm” themselves to show gun control advocates what would happen.
“Take their guns away,” Trump said. “She doesn’t want guns. Let’s see what happens to her. Take their guns away. It would be very dangerous.”
Trump then told the crowd that Clinton “wants to destroy your Second Amendment” and that “she goes around with armed bodyguards like you have never seen before.”
Trump, once again scrambling the truth, misrepresented Clinton’s position on gun control to the audience. She has said over and over again that she’s not in favor of a Second Amendment repeal.
Assuming that Trump talking about Clinton’s Secret Service protection, it should be pointed out that he also enoys the protection of their services.
