Trump must fork over documents regarding all sexual assault accusations against him

As reported by BuzzFeed, a “high stakes legal showdown” is coming for President Trump after a woman who accused him of sexual assault has subpoenaed documents from his campaign regarding all women who’ve accused him of sexual assault or harassment.

According to BuzzFeed, the subpoena was issued in March but entered into the court file only last month.

Former The Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos says Trump kissed her and groped her back in 2007 when she paid him a visit to discuss possible employment opportunities. Trump has denied the accusation, prompting Zervos to sue him for defamation. Zervos’ lawyers subpoenaed Trump’s campaign to preserved all documents related to Zervos.

From BuzzFeed:

They also asked for “all documents” concerning other women who have accused Trump of groping them, including Jessica Leeds, Mindy McGillivray, Rachel Crooks, Natasha Stoynoff, Temple Taggart, Kristin Anderson, Cathy Heller, Jill Harth, and Jessica Drake. The subpoena seeks “all documents concerning any accusations that were made during Donald J. Trump’s election campaign for president, that he subjected any woman to unwanted sexual touching and/or sexually inappropriate behavior.” Last year, Trump tweeted a blanket denial, saying, “Nothing ever happened with any of these women.

Trump’s lawyers claim that he can’t be the subject of civil lawsuits while president and have tried to get the motion dismissed.

They also made a number of other claims in a July filing, among them that the entire suit is politically motivated and that Allred is using it to dredge up ammunition to impeach him. As for the subpoena, they argued that it is “far-reaching” and “seeks wholly irrelevant informationintended solely to harass the president.”
