Twitter bans ‘Pharma Bro’ Martin Shkreli for harassing a female Teen Vogue writer

“Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli just lost the main tool that gave him the attention he so relishes. After repeatedly harassing a female writer on Twitter, Shkreli had his account suspended this Sunday.

Teen Vogue writer Lauren Duca was widely lauded for her Fox News showdown with host Tucker Carlson, an exchange that sparked Shkreli’s targeting of her. According to New York Magazine, Shkreli apparently direct messaged her and asked her to be his date to Donald Trump’s inauguration (Duca is married). “I would rather eat my own organs,” Duca said, replying to Shkreli’s proposal.

“He has been harassing me for a while. It’s an ongoing thing,” Duca told BuzzFeed. “He’s been actively tweeting about dating me.”

“I don’t know if he’s encouraging people to do this, but there’s been a small contingent of trolls telling me to sleep with him — but not that politely,” she said.

Shkreli then changed his Twitter bio to read “also i have a small crush on @laurenduca (hope she doesn’t find out),” and posted a collage of Duca as his Twitter header. His profile picture was then changed to a photoshopped image that was originally of Duca and her husband, replacing Duca’s husband’s head with Shkreli’s.

On Sunday morning, Duca reached out to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey:
