We didn’t realize this everyday necessity of life needed improving upon, but two British university students may have just reinvented the toilet.
The “Iota” folds in upwards after use, and it’s claimed to use 50% less water than the toilet we’ve been using for the past half-century.
Aside from its alleged water-saving qualities, the new concept is smaller with a rimless design that makes it easier to clean.
According to Design Boom, the students, Gareth Humphreys and Elliott Whiteley, created the sustainable toilet as their final project at the University of Huddersfield.
