Watch a CNN commentator call Ken Cuccinelli a ‘homophobe’ to his face

If you don’t know who Ken Cuccinelli is, he’s the one who as attorney general fought tooth and nail to reinstate a law banning consensual gay sex in the state of Virginia. In fact, he’s probably the most vicious anti-gay GOP elected public officials in modern politics.

“My view is that homosexual acts, not homosexuality, but homosexual acts are wrong. They’re intrinsically wrong. And I think in a natural law based country it’s appropriate to have policies that reflect that,” he once said.

So he shouldn’t be surprised if he gets called out for being a homophobe on national cable TV – which is exactly what happened on CNN’s Crossfire this Tuesday night.

Speaking directly to Cucinelli’s face, commentator LZ Granderson didn’t pull any punches:

“We all know your history … I would say that you, personally, are probably a homophobe.”
