A slightly awkward moment occurred this Wednesday during a broadcast from NBC affiliate Local 4 News, when a reporter dropped an angry F-bomb while not realizing her mic was live.
The morning newscast’s anchors were handing the segment over to reporter Lauren Podell, live at the scene of a fire, but technical difficulties with her earpiece distracted her from knowing she was on.
After a few seconds of silence, Podell’s voice could be heard off-camera as she angrily fumbled with her failing equipment.
“I don’t have IFB, I don’t know when we’re going, neither does Jim,” She lamented. “I can’t get this f*cking in there!”
Local 4 anchors Evrod Cassimy and Rhonda Walker heroically managed to keep their faces straight and quickly apologized for Podell’s language.
