Watch this Christian protester’s evil laugh when a gay man mentions the death of his husband

As Alabama anti-gay Chief Justice Ray Moore was giving a speech after his suspension for failing to recognize gay marriage as the law of the land (he goes on trial in September), another speech was taking place just a few feet a way held by The Human Rights Campaign.

Among the speakers was Dr. Paul Hard, who has been in a legal fight for his partner, who died five years ago, to be recognized as his husband.

And when he began to speak about his partner’s death, a Christian protester in the crowd laughed mockingly.

“You can’t have a husband,” the man sneered.

According to GayStarNews, John Archibald, a columnist who witnessed the incident, couldn’t believe what he saw.

“How can any man, no matter his position on Roy Moore or any issue, stand before another and mock his pain?” Archibald said.

“How can one stand under the banner of God and laugh at another man’s death? How — in the name of God — can one deride genuine grief?”

“Christians cannot let these people define their religion. All they have is volume. As a substitute for moral authority.” Archibald added.
